At the beginning of my CEP810 course, I had an opportunity to learn about RSS Readers. Essentially, an RSS Reader allows updated feeds from numerous websites to all be "linked" to one page. This allows readers to view several cites at one time without having to browse through numerous pages.
Attached is a link to my personal RSS page: D Johnson CEP810 RSS Reader.
In addition, I have begun to take snapshots of my RSS Reader. Something unique that I chose to do was create tabs of interest. I have a tab specific to educational news, a tab specific to math education, and then a personal tab for sports and local events.
Here is my RSS Reader last Thursday, September 30th:
Educational Tab, Part I
Educational Tab, Part II
Math Education Tab
Here is my RSS Reader Monday, October 4th. Notice how certain pages have complete updates, while other cites only have a few changes:
Education Tab, Part I Updated
My final screen snapshots come from Sunday, October 10th. From my daily check-ins, I have noticed that my education feeders tend to update more consistently than my math tabs. Perhaps this has to do with continual updates to education by subject, technology, and current events.
